On the MT4 platforms there are 4 Moving Average methods you can employ: Simple, Exponential, Smooth and Linear Weighted. In this strategy I prefer the Linear Weighted Moving Average because it calculates the average of price

with the recent price data more heavily weighted to measure the momentum of price which is very important in day trading. You will see exactly how to do this when you read the next chapter on setting up our charts. For now just visualize the chart below. Do you see the two moving averages? Great. At 8:00 AM CET I simply watch my chart without doing anything until 9:00AM. The time frame I use for intraday trading is the 15 minute chart.
