Note: Be careful not to click anywhere otherwise you could accidentally format a cell you didn’t intend to! If you have to scroll to apply to another cell, use the mouse wheel if you have one OR use the Vertical scrollbar – don’t click cells to navigate

Single-click cell B8

The formatting is applied!

The Paint Brush icon disappears – it’s only good for one click!

Select cell B8

To turn on the Format Painter in order to apply formatting to multiple individual cells, double-click the Paint Brush icon

Double-click the Format Painter icon

Single-click cell B20 – notice the Paint Brush icon remains on the cursor ready for action!

Single-click cell B34 – to turn off the Format Painter click the option button OR press the Esc key

Apply Wrap Text to cell B34 – adjust the row height to see all the text

The column widths are too wide in row 22 – they could do with some text wrapping!

Copy the formatting from cell B34 – a single-click on the Format Painter should work for this

Highlight all the column labels i.e. B22:G22

Adjust the column widths to wrap the column labels

Finally centre both vertically and horizontally i.e. Middle Align and Centre
