2. From this list of seven statements, select one and describe how it plays out in your life. Give an example or two. It is important to recognize and identify the pattern. Is there a trigger? How does it begin? How has it benefited you? How has it harmed you? For instance, you cannot picture yourself reaching your goal/ideal weight. Is this because you don’t want to be disappointed if you don’t reach your goal? Do you think you would be setting yourself up for embarrassment if you did picture yourself at your ideal weight and then didn’t reach your goal?
