Lucas 7

The portal network setup took me forever. The demon princess realms weren’t close to each other, and since the souls of destroyed demons lacked any intelligence, I had to make the paths straight.

Since portals had a limited distance over which they could connect to each other, I had to make a lot of them.

After I built the paths to the four demon princess realms, I prepared the pathway to Hell. I found Quintus, my commander of Hell’s armies, and explained to him the plan.

He voiced no opposition, but he never did, so it didn’t mean much.

Finally, I connected the whole new portal network to the power core I had hidden in Hell. I had to triple the core’s capacity and spent a good few hours compressing Void energies into it to fill it up.

When things finally fell in place and stabilized, I went to check on the demon princesses. They all had a force ready.

Elsha had a massive swarm of winged demons, mostly succubi and monsters.

Selise set up a seed of the swarm, which had two dozen blossoms. Half of them withered and started producing insectoid demons.

Alsha had a neat, pyramid-like ship filled with her angel-like demons, and armed with magic-powered weaponry, mainly cannons.

And finally, Kallisto had a swarm of smaller gothic-style Void ships manned with her demons.

To be honest, I hadn’t the faintest idea how much force each of these armies represented. Each had at least a million demons but clearly wasn’t their main force.

One by one, I picked the demon princesses up and moved them to Hell.

Elsha switched with her projection only at that point, Selise looked hyped, Alsha emanated calm interest, and Kallisto looked horny yet suspiciously happy. I was going to play with Kallisto later.

That one night wasn’t enough.

We finally met in my throne room, and I took my seat.

They all conjured their own thrones.

“So,” I said. “We charge in, open the path into their realm, and then let our armies in. From there, we let the infinite horde whittle them down.”

Everyone nodded.

Elsha cleared her throat. “Who gets the opening shot?”

“I do,” I said. “And I go in first.”

“My force moves in a second,” Kallisto said. “We will hold the position, and then Elsha and Selise can swarm inside. Alsha should go last as she is the only one with long-ranged weaponry.”

No one protested. How odd. “I’ll go change,” I said and soulstepped into my room here in Hell.

In there, I withdrew my armor and helmet from my soul chamber. I changed from my suit into the black armor with heavy gauntlets, boots, and a thick leather tunic. A white cross shone on the chest and back.

I put on a helmet, a deceptively simple one with holes on the top of the head, a voice-changing apparatus at the mouth, and reflective, black glass-filled eye holes. After I set it to the correct position, I pulled on my power, and horns sprouted from my head, filling all the holes.

The Mirrorrealm gods knew me as Lucifer and were going to recognize me looking like this.
