Chapter Fourteen

Alex stood back as Raina and the men coaxed and wrestled the older woman onto the gurney and into the van. He was so proud of his little. She was clever in manipulating her aunt, which helped tremendously.

Part of his mind was still on how she teased him about spanking her and defended him when she didn’t need to. If he wasn’t mistaken, Raina was as in love with him as he was with her, and he couldn’t be more thrilled.

He’d only seen a few rooms in the house, but he liked what he had seen so far. It was a very old manor house that had been modernized and well-maintained over the years.

He wondered if Raina ever had a butler because he thought they might need one. It would also help to have someone to oversee Raina when he was at work.

Alex took Raina’s hand as the trucks drove away. “How are you feeling?”

“Relieved and free but also sad.”

“Why sad, Baby?”

“Because she was my only living relative, and I had hoped we’d eventually become friends.”

He pulled her into his arms. “First off, that woman couldn’t be friends with anyone. It’s just her personality. Most importantly, you do have a family. You have me.”

She smiled at him. “Really?”

“Yes. You’ll never be without me. We have so many friends that I trust when I can’t be with you.”

She laid her head on his chest.

He was concerned when he heard her sniff. He tilted her head up. “What’s wrong?”

“It’s just that I’m so happy. I never thought I’d have a family that would care for me after my father died and my aunt moved in.”

“Oh, Baby. I more than care for you. I love you, and I can’t see my life without you in it.”

A sob tore from her throat as she squeezed him. “I love you so much, Daddy.

He playfully growled. “I almost forgot that you were teasing me earlier. Now, what do you think I should do about it?”

She smiled at him. “Maybe spank me and then … fuck me.”

He loved the way she blushed and turned shy. “Jesus Christ, woman. Are you trying to give me a heart attack?”

Raina giggled.

He grunted, bent, and started to kiss her. Like always, once he started, stopping was next to impossible. He almost howled when he heard a throat being cleared behind them. He lifted his head and stared at her for a stunned moment before turning to see Sebastian standing a few feet away with a huge smile.

Alex scowled. “What?” he barked, making Sebastian chuckle and Raina jump. He kissed her forehead. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” He turned back to his friend, who he had the urge to punch at that moment.

“I just wanted to tell you everyone is gone but the household staff,” Sebastian said. “I don’t know what you want done with them.”

“We’ll deal with them. Thank you for all your help,” he said.

“No problem. I’m glad I could be here. I’ll leave you two alone, but we’ll see each other soon.
