Warrick could tell she was getting upset, so he caught her hand in his. “Listen to me, baby. You were exactly the type of woman I wanted from the start. Before I knew that you liked to hack into businesses. From the first time my eyes fell on you, I wanted you to be mine. When I found out about the hacking, I thought you couldn’t get any more perfect.”

“Why? I’m a felon.”

He chuckled. “No, you’re not. Although what you’re doing is not exactly legal, you’re not destroying or stealing things. In fact, I think you’re giving these places a much-needed kick in the pants to up their security so a bad person can’t hack in and mess things up.”

He could tell that helped her to relax. “What I and a few of us are thinking about, and we’ve already been talking to Eli, that’s Kinley’s man, is that the two of you work together to hack into places that we’re working with before, during, and after to make sure they are secure. We’ll have you hack in and see what you think the weakness is, and as we try to fix it, you’ll keep trying. When we’re finished, we’ll have you try again to make sure we got the job done. What do you think? You get to do something you enjoy and are great at while you get paid. And you’re doing good things that help people.”

He grinned at the excitement that filled her eyes and the way she bounced in her seat.

“Yes, I’d love that.”

“Good. We’ll get you set up this week. Since Eli is in a different building, you’ll be there the majority of the time.”

“Where will you be?” she asked.

“I’ll be around, honey, but remember, I would never leave you with someone I didn’t trust to take care of you and keep you safe. Eli is extremely protective of Kinley, so she’s never left alone. If Eli has to leave the office for anything, he has one of the guards sit with her.”

“Really? Wow.” She stared at him. “What if I need you?”

“Eli will call, and I’ll be there. You’ll be my priority, baby. There will never be a time that you can’t talk to me.”

She looked down in her lap and then nodded. “I’d like to try to do what you’re talking about.”

He raised her hand and kissed her knuckles. “I think you’re going to be happy.”

“I want to make you happy, and if this helps you, it will be even better.”

“God, baby. The more I get to know you, the more I realize how sweet and truly special you are.”

He smiled when she blushed. “Will you let me hold you?”

She nodded.

He lifted her to straddle his lap, facing him, not realizing how tight she was against his already rigid cock. She tightened her arms around his neck when he tried to put space between them.

Fuck. Warrick pressed his hand against her lower back to hold her against him and used his other hand to tilt her head back.
