½ cup molasses

1 egg

1 pinch sea salt

2 tbsp caster sugar

1 tsp baking powder

½ cup butter

½ cup caster sugar

1 pinch baking soda

Instructions:

Shift the dry ingredients in a large bowl and set aside for now.

Preheat your oven to 380 degrees F.

Line up parchment paper on a cookie sheet.

In a mixing bowl, add the egg and beat using a fork for just 1 minute.

Add the molasses and mix well.

Add the butter and caster sugar and beat until the sugar dissolves completely.

Add the flour mix and fold into dough.

Let it refrigerate for 10 minutes only.

Roll it out on a floury surface. Cut into 12 round cookies.

Use a fork and make a design of your choice on top.

Add them to the prepared cookie sheet.

Bake for about 15 minutes.
