Lemon Ginger
Makes about 31/2 dozen cookies
The combination of lemon and ginger in this cookie will make your tongue tingle!
Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla yogurt
2 teaspoons lemon extract
3 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
Note: If you love ginger and want this cookie to have more of a ginger flavor, combine 1 tablespoon ground ginger and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar in a bowl. Roll your cookies through the ginger-sugar mixture before baking.
