Thin Ice Cocktail

2 ounces dry gin

½ ounce Bénédictine

1 sugar cube

2–3 dashes Absinthe

1–2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

Dry champagne

Lemon twist, for garnish

Mix dry gin and Bénédictine over ice. Soak sugar cube with absinthe and Peychaud’s bitters and place the sugar cube in a champagne flute. Fill one-third of the champagne flute with shaved ice. Strain the gin mixture into the champagne flute and top with champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist.
