Method of Preparation:

In a heavy vessel, boil the brown sugar with vinegar, nutmeg, cinnamon, all spice mix, cloves and salt for 35 minutes.

Add the sliced onions, garlic and red chilies. Boil for another 30 minutes.

Reduce the flame and add the mangoes, raisins and nuts. Boil for another 35 minutes.

The chutney can be stored for a long time, once it has cooled down, transfer it to a glass jar and seal it.

Grape Tomato Chutney

Grape tomatoes are a little different from cherry tomatoes. Grape tomatoes are said to have a sweeter flavor than the ordinary cherry tomatoes. It also has a thicker layer outside and lesser water content. But despite their small size, the sweetest and intense flavor of the grape tomatoes is so perfect to make this chutney. The tanginess from the lemon and the sweetness of the grape and brown sugar, blend so well.
