* * * *

After their slightly flawed run of "naughty student gets it hard and fast across the prof's desk" Neil opted to recover before their shopping trip, and save fucking Tony until after. Their 'other' tasks generally started out in Neil's office with the pair playing out Tony's favorite Kevin-less fantasy---when Kevin was around they both discovered quickly that their favorite joint fantasies all revolved around sandwiching the smaller man between their two big bodies. Now, spent and pleasantly sore in all the best places, Tony and Neil lay wrapped around one another in a lazy, sweating heap of naked flesh.

Tony turned his head. He liked to look Neil in the eye when he asked him serious questions. Sometimes the colors of Neil's eyes made understanding his answers easier.

"Neil, what do youse think is wrong with Kevin?"

Neil's eyes darkened slightly.

His lips parted.

Closing his mouth, Neil wordlessly pulled Tony close, pressing a soft kiss on his brow.

Tony hunched his shoulders up close to his ears.

"Oh. He's worrying about me being dumb again. Ain't he?"

Neil nodded against the side of his head.

"Neil, we'se gotta put a stop to this. Kevin's not smiling, and he's gettin' up at night to be sick."

Neil drew back abruptly.

"He what?"

Tony eyed Neil.

"Youse din't know?"

Neil sat up, running a hand distractedly through his hair.

"Tony, you know I sleep like the dead."

Tony chuckled.

"Oh, yeah, you do. Okay, so Kevin, he's been gettin' up almost every night for the last coupla weeks. I don't get up, 'cause the one time I did he got real upset and sad-like, and so I just let him be sick in private."

Neil lifted one brow, his eye color going slightly darker.

"Tony, how do you know he's getting sick?"

Tony looked at Neil closely.

Neil didn't seem to have any bumps or bruises on his head that might explain the sudden forgetfulness.

"Um. Neil? Do youse feel okay-like?"

Neil narrowed his eyes.

"Tony, what the hell are you talking about?"

Tony sat up as well, rolling his eyes.

"Neil, youse know I clean the bathrooms. You and Kevin forget too much, and youse never do the floors right. I follow the rules for cleaning the bathroom, and---"

Neil placed a finger softly against Tony's lips.

A rueful smile twisted his mouth up on one side.

"So he didn't clean everything up."

Tony nodded.

Neil frowned.

"I didn't realize things had gotten that far."

Tony scooted closer.

"We shouldn't oughta wait 'til Christmas, Neil. Maybe we could have Christmas a coupla days early, yeah? Just so's you and me could get Kevin took care of?"

Neil looked down, nibbling at one corner of his bottom lip.

Tony liked the expression. He called it Neil's thinking face.

Neil looked back up, his blue eyes hot and fierce.

"I do like the way you think, Tony. Indeed I do."

Tony grinned.

"Let's put some clothes on Neil. That's a rule. You gotta wear clothes to go shopping, even when it's hot, but it's not hot today, so's we'd wanna wrap our bits and pieces up in something warm anyhow."

Neil threw his head back to laugh.

The strong line of his throat caught the light, just so.
