I was asleep when Leonardo returned to the mansion. I woke up when he entered the room. I didn’t jump on him as I had always done in the past. I pretended to be fast asleep while he went about taking off his clothes. I risked opening my eyes and I saw him naked. Goodness, words couldn’t describe how I felt anytime I saw that butt of his. He suddenly turned and I quickly closed my eyes. Before I knew it, I felt him climb on the bed and wrap me in his naked body.

“I thought you were sleeping,” he whispered into my ear.

I giggled.

“Yes, I thought so too,” I replied.

“What do you mean by that?” he asked.

“Nothing; how did your meeting with the bishop go?” I said and sat up on the bed.

“Very well,” he said, “although it wasn’t easy at first - the bishop wasn’t really an easy man to convince, but in the end, he agreed to help me with all I need.”

“And what are the things you asked of him?”

“Highly skilled mercenaries and weapons.”

“What about your weapons stash in Manhattan?” I asked.

“Sia, remember my father has all the locations of where the family’s stashes are? I can’t possibly walk in there and retrieve them.”

“Yes, that’s true.”

That was obvious. How could I have been such an idiot not to realize that? But I couldn't blame myself for not knowing how the mafia worked. From time to time I tried to talk to Leonardo about his dealings in the mafia, but on several occasions, I had not been able to fully communicate well with him as I didn’t really know what to say. But still, I didn’t want to be kept in the dark.

“What’s your plan now?” I asked him.

He paused and looked at me.

“Wait, Leo, you don’t trust me?” I said. I was hurt when I saw the distrust in his eyes.

“I trust you, Sia, and you have promised to never betray me. But it's your father I’m dealing with here. He's still your flesh and blood,” he said to me.

“Leonardo, I understand what you’re saying, but you need to understand that I don’t really care for my father, especially not after he did those things to me. I only care about you and your plans to reclaim the throne,” I explained to him.

“Are you sure you really want me back on that throne, Sia? If I become the don, I might not have much time with you again. I might revert to the way I was before I lost my title.”

“I know you won’t revert to that, Leo.” I retorted. I was already on the brink of tears. “I believe in you. I know you won’t allow yourself to be corrupted by power again.”

He moved closer to me and kissed me on my head.

“Sia, I’m happy for your deep belief in me and I’m sorry for how I treated you in the past.”

“Just don’t be like that again, Leo,” I said, and placed my head on his chest.
