Chapter 17

Lawson

Albert came out of the back, his face sober. "How'd it go?" I asked him.

He gave me a glare without much heat. "You made my mom cry."

"I'd do it again," I replied, my tone unrepentant. I knew would.

I saw him clench his fists. "You have no right to make my mother cry."

"Don't I?" I said in a voice so soft that Jacques probably couldn't hear it even five feet away. He was focusing on the monitors but I wasn't fooled. He was in security because he was observant.

With his chin tilted up, Al looked me in the eye. "Don't make my mother cry." It was the flash of steel in his tone that made me rock hard and ready to go. I wished that we were alone, instead of in a room with Jacques. Sure, I was much older than my current lover, but he gave as good at he got. I knew that his time with me was full of many different firsts. However, he was already starting to come into his own with me.

"Let's go," I said in a more normal tone of voice. "Thanks, Jacques," I called out before turning.

"Anytime, boss," Jacques responded. "You two take care."

The two of us went into the hallway. I looked in both directions before I pinned Albert's body up against the nearest wall.

"What?" Albert started to ask a question but I shut him up with my mouth. I rocked my hips against his and felt his hips buck in return. I felt my body heat.

"Fuck, you're so hot," I moaned into his soft mouth. "Let's go back to my cabin." I couldn't wait to get him alone.

"No," Albert said, pushing me off of him so hard that I had to take two steps back. "I'm still mad at you."

"Angry sex is the best kind," I told him, my tone silky and smooth. Just looking at him made me breathe harder. His reddish kiss-swollen lips pouted, making me want to start kissing him again.

"I want to be alone for tonight," Albert stated. "Just let me have a normal experience on this ship instead of a luxurious one." With a final look at me, Albert strode off.

I felt like I'd put my foot on a rung on a ladder that wasn't there. We had so little time together. I swallowed hard, thinking about when this cruise was over. He'd go back to his normal life. I thought that maybe it wouldn't last more than a couple days.

I waited in the hallway, walking at a snail's pace to give him time to get back to the cabin that was next to mine. If he wanted to brood, I had to give him space to do it, although my instincts screamed at me to knock down his door and make sure that he knew he was mine to protect. He didn't understand how I felt yet, and at this point I doubted we'd ever have a heart-to-heart talk about emotions. I knew, just look at his curly hair and beautiful grin, that I could chase forever with him.
