YELLOW RICE PILAU WITH CHICKEN

Ingredients

250G Rice (Preferably Basmathi Rice)

1Big Onion chopped

1Stick Cinnamon

1 Sprig of corriander leaves

1 Sprig Karapincha leaves

1Cup Chicken stock

1tsp Tumaric

2tbs Butter

60g Sulthanas

Salt

4-5 Pepper

150G Boneless chicken

Water to cook rice

Method

Heat butter and fry the onion, karapincha and chicken until golden brown. Add the rice , tumaric, cinnamon, salt and pepper for 2-3 minutes. Add chicken stock , water mix well , cover and simmer until rice is tender.Add corriander leaves and sulthanas. Garnish with corriander leaves.

Serving Suggessions: Serve with:Chicken/ fish curry, Deval Prawns, Dhall Curry, Seeni Sambol, Salad, Boiled and fried eggs, Papadam
