Chapter 11

Ta-da!” Ansley shouted.

Dinner was over and it was now time to have some of the fresh incredible-smelling cinnamon rolls.

Ansley laid the tray down on the center of the table. “Surprise!”

The cinnamon rolls were all shaped like hearts!

Everyone at the table had something to say.

“Those look incredible!”

“So cute!”

“Amazing, Ansley!”

I curled my hands and brought them together at the center of my chest. “I heart it!”

“How’d you make them?” Amber asked.

“It was easy. Well, I looked it up online, first. But what you do is instead of rolling the strips in a swirl, you pinch the strips in the middle. Then you curl the two equal sides up and inward toward one another. Then you lay them on the tray like this, upside down and right-side up, side by side. Some come out better than others,” she admitted.

“I think they all look great,” Dad said.

“And they all taste awesome,” I said licking some icing off the tip of one of my fingers.

“Thanks! I think I’ll make them like this for the party too,” Ansley said. “Because it shows love of neighbor! Get it?”
