The development of the AI strategy is different from the design of a conventional one. The goal of this chapter is to lead clinicians through the process of developing a tailored AI plan. The findings are based on my personal experience and professional conversations with top AI experts from organizations, including Toyota, Google, AI Fund, and many others. You will learn how the AI strategy applies to the company plan, its key elements, and how to distinguish a positive and a bad AI strategy.

The Business Strategy and the AI Strategy.

There is an AI approach to help the business strategy. The business plan determines the path forward for your company. What programs will have the greatest business value? What features distinguish the product from its competitors? Business strategy is articulated by tangible goals, e.g., in the form of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Such approaches monitor progress towards achieving the goal of the AI strategy. Raphael Kohler, Vice-Chairman of the German Chinese Association of AI, notes that it is important to have a good understanding of the purpose of the AI strategy. He points out that the debate can not be based on technology, but must be guided by business value.
