Sec 2.2.7 Faulty receiving radio\antenna chain– Rare but does happen. An indication of this is a successfully connected client located right next to the client that fails to connect or drops at that location. The machine is usually new from the factory. Test by moving the suspect machine closer to the Access Point until it connects. Connect an identical machine known to be operating within a normal baseline to the same AP and then walk both machines away from the AP until the connection is lost due to distance. If the suspect client’s radio chain is faulty it will drop the connection much sooner than will the baseline client. Replace the faulty client.
