262. No Sack Truck? Use a Bed Sheet

No really. You can move quite heavy items by lifting them up one end and laying a sheet underneath them. Lift up the other end and pull the sheet through so it’s totally underneath the item.

Then simply grab good handfuls of the sheet and pull. The whole thing will slide easily on the sheet. BUT, you must make absolutely sure the floor is super clean and grit free if its wooden. Carpet, nah, not so much.

The Simplest Maintenance Tool Kit in the World

I rather like the ‘duffers’ tool kit, which consists of a roll of tape and a can of WD40. The theory being; ‘If something moves that shouldn’t, you tape it up, and if something doesn’t move, but should; you give it a squirt of WD40.’ Although intended as a joke, when it comes to maintenance, it’s actually pretty close to the truth. A little goes a long way in maintenance.
