Look for your special light.

Everyone has hard classes. Days when you start sweating before the first posture. Or your body doesn’t bend the way it did last week. Or when you wolf down two bags of potato chips on the train ride to class. Or when your limbs are so tired that you can hardly move. Or when your brain starts racing about that important project and you have to fight the urge to duck out of class and check your email in the locker room.

The adorable part about these so-called hard classes is that we all think we’re unique in our suffering. That nobody else understands how hard it is for us. Next time you catch yourself looking around the room to see if anybody notices just how hard it is for you, consider asking this question instead:

Is this problem really a crisis, or just another one of the ongoing issues that confronts all people? It’s probably the latter. Welcome to the human race. Where even if you’re not unique, at least you’re not alone.
