Chapter 16

The room was dim, with only the side table lamp illuminating the space. His human lay on top of the blankets. She was on her side, legs curled towards her chest with a book clutched tightly to her breasts. He removed the paperback, the cover brought a smile to his lips. A half-naked male, the title said Demon Shifters. Brant shook his head while placing the book on the side table.

Right now, he wished he hadn’t been away for so long. There were many things that needed doing though and he had needed time to think things through. The current situation was not of Tanya’s making.
