Unit 10: Used to and Would
NOTE: Would and used (to) have very similar meanings and can often be used in the same situations. Would is used to talk about an activity that was routine, typical behavior, and frequently repeated. Used (to) focuses on the habit, not duration or frequency.
USED TO:

We also use used to ... for things that were true, but are not true any more.
The normal question form is did (you) use to ... ?:
J and B Metallurgy used to have a holiday party, but no longer after profits slid.
Did Holiday Express use to train its employees at its Seattle headquarters?
Mozzeli and Warner used to have an office in Aspen, Colorado, but could not justify the expense any more.
