Three Layer Cookies

These cookie bars are so sweet and tasty. The 3 layers may require a bit more work, but they are well worth it.

First Layer

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cup cocoa

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg, slightly beaten

2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1 cup grated coconut

1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Combine butter, granulated sugar, cocoa and vanilla in a double boiler and cook until blended. Add egg and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add graham cracker crumbs, coconut and nuts. Press in 9x13” baking dish and let cool.
