Chapter 13
RobinM110: My Mom said we can come to London. Just need to know when youâre free.
MPh2011: Amazing, Iâll send you what youâll need to know
MPh2011: I love you. I canât wait to meet you.
I stared at myself in the mirror and barely recognised the reflection. To say I was out of my comfort zone in this outfit was an understatement. After a lot of shopping and outfit rejections, Florence decided to pick an outfit for me without showing me. She said I needed to trust her, and I did⦠I wish I hadnât.
My hair was straighter than Iâve ever seen it, my make-up was done more than I normally would for a show, and thatâs a lot, and the outfit I was in just didnât feel comfortable at all. I wiped some of the dark red lipstick that Florence had forced on me off my teeth and pulled on the bottom of the crop top sheâd picked out.
I was standing there in a dark red velvet crop top with a neckline that revealed slightly more than I was used to, and some black high-waisted jeans. Florence walked into my room after getting changed in the bathroom and stared at me.
âFuck yes, girl!â She exclaimed.
âSWEAR JAR!â I heard Mom call up the stairs, and we both laughed.
âYou look stunning.â She said as I wrapped my arms around myself consciously. âNow youâre supposed to say I look stunning too.â She said, doing a twirl in her outfit.
Her hair was still curled but her makeup was darker with a full black lip and eyeshadow to match. She ended up buying herself a tight vest top which hugged her figure perfectly and some ripped jeans and ridiculously high heels.
âWell I thought that would go without saying.â I replied with a smile, and she walked over to me confidently, pulling my arms down by my side and staring me in the face.
âYou have an adorable body. Own it.â She said forcefully and I nodded shyly. âNow come on, letâs get going.â She said, grabbing our bags and handing mine to me.
I looked down at my phone before I put it in my bag. No new messages from Mason, but weâd already said goodnight to each other, and he was in a better mood now that Iâd told him I could come to London. I didnât mention I would be at a party tonight⦠I didnât want him to worry.
I quickly hugged Mom and explained that we wouldnât be back too late then we headed out the front door. I slammed it shut and walked, somewhat off balance, down the lawn.
âThe bus goes from just down the street. It should take us just by the lake by Rebeccaâs house.â I explained and Florence nodded.
As we turned to walk down the road, I noticed Nateâs front door open and watched as he walked out. He stopped dead in his tracks when he spotted us. âIs that-â Florence started before I elbowed her in the ribs.
Nate stared at me intensely.
