Windows Phone navigation model

The navigation model in Windows Phone is based on one control called PhoneApplicationFrame. PhoneApplicationFrame can contain one or more controls named PhoneApplicationPage. The PhoneApplicationPage controls are the pages or the screen through which a user can navigate. So PhoneApplicationFrame is the main navigation control, which makes it possible to navigate to and from pages. PhoneApplicationPage, as the name goes, represents a single page, which can contain the content to be shown as part of that page. An application typically will contain only one PhoneApplicationFrame and multiple PhoneApplicationPage.
