Talking with your mouth “full”

I was watching a movie the other day. In the movie, this woman is talking to this man at breakfast time. And she has a plate of pancakes. She cuts the pancakes up into pieces and puts about one quarter of the pancake in her mouth and continues to chew and talk at the same time. And when she talks, you cannot tell that she’s got a whole mouthful of food. Who are these people, anyway, that can do this? I certainly can’t put food in my mouth and then talk as if I had nothing in my mouth.
