“You sure you good?”

“Honestly, I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I know I don’t wanna go to the hospital.”

“You think something might be wrong with the twins?”

“No, I honestly think it’s a heat thing. When I feel too hot, I start getting overheated and have to sit down or lay down. The room start spinning and shit.”

“I can understand not wanting to worry Trey right now, but you still need to make sure the twins are good. You may think it’s nothing or it’s not affecting the babies, and it might be,” she said, scaring me.

Rolling my eyes to the top of my head, I spoke, “Okay, if I don’t get better in the next hour, we can go to the hospital cause I’m not going there by myself.”

“Of course, you know me and yo’ mama gon’ make sure you and the babies good.”

“How are you feeling?”

“The same, I wanna be home with my mama when she get discharged. That entire situation could’ve turned out bad.”

“Damn, I’m sorry that she even had to go through that shit and Anita really crossed the line.”

“And it’s time for Chance to do the same. I know he always told me he don’t wanna be the reason she gets killed but, at this point, something have to give. She has now put Cajari in danger and that has proven just how unstable her ass is.”

“I totally agree with you, but I can say this not the same Anita. She must be back on them pills or crack if she think she gon’ get away with this shit she pulling.”

“My guess is crack, cause for her to pull me and my mama into this shit and almost get us both killed is giving crackhead obsession about her baby daddy vibes, and Ion like that.”

We both let out a light laugh before it got quiet again.

“We gon’ be okay. I know you have a lot on your mind but don’t make any permanent decisions that you might regret in the long run.”

I wasn’t tryna get her to change her mind when she already had it set, but I did want her to at least think about what she wanted to do before she moved on it. She didn’t wanna miss out on her soulmate, all cause his baby mama couldn’t seem to let go.

“Thank you for that, get some rest.” She gave me a half-smile, stood and left the room.
