I knock lightly on the glass, ‘cause I wanna get her up, but not scare her. She flinched, before peeking at me out of one eye. She shut it again, then started fumbling with the buttons on the door, tryna find the one that unlocks it. I don’t know the method to her madness, or why she won’t just open her damn eyes, so she can see.

Luckily, after a few seconds, she found the one she was looking for, and I walked to the other side to get in.

“Bitch, you were gone for two hours,” she mumbled sleepily, as she got up and wiped the side of her face.

“My bad. Didn’t think it was gonna last so long, but I have to tell you what happened,” I squealed out. She put the keys in the ignition, and instead of turning it on, she waited for me to talk.

“Drive and listen, hoe. I’m starvin’.” She sucked her teeth.

Turning the key over, she pulled out of the parking lot. I relayed what happened with Love, starting from when I first walked in. I mentioned briefly about the exchange I saw between him and Lauren, then I told her about what happened between us right before I walked out and how t was only the first day, and he’s already drivin’ me crazy. Lord when my sentence ends, I pray that I’m left unscathed.

However, judging by the way he was lookin’ at me with longing in his eyes, I’d be lucky to last a month.
