Chapter 16

The next month is like cohabitation heaven for Reagan. She’s never had someone she’s so drawn to as well as comfortable with like she is with Gunner. Dean. It’s taken a bit, but she’s finally getting used to calling him Dean instead. At least when they’re alone. At the clubhouse, she still calls him Gunner.

She gives four useless pieces of information to Jason that Jennings has fed her. All of which contradicts whatever information he seems to get from someone in the clubhouse. She’s made it a point to check on everyone in the clubhouse, but no one has the initials MO, nor do any of them go by that nickname.

Dean walks into the house with an enormous grin on his face, and her heart skips a beat. She knows that grin. She knows what that grin means, and a need she never knew she had until him flows through her body until she can feel down to her toes.

“I need you.”

The words were simple and to the point. And Reagan didn’t need to say anything in response. Instead, she just stood from where she was looking over files on the couch and walked over to him, letting him pull her into his arms and kiss her until she felt like she might pass out from the lightheadedness.

“Take me.”

Her words always came out breathless after he kissed her, and it seemed to turn him on to know how much he affects her. Her entire body reacts to everything he does, and she’s noticed his does the same for her.

Certain looks she gives him has him adjusting himself or stripping down, depending on where they’re at. The way she says something has him in automatic defuse-the-situation mode or ready-to-fight-the-world mode. And when she sounds breathless and needy, he becomes carnal. The need to have her kicks up ten notches, and she is never disappointed.

His brawny arms lift her up as he kicks off his shoes and carries her to the bedroom. The look in his eyes tells her to strip down as fast as she can. If not, she’ll lose even more of her favorite panties that have been ripped off in haste. Luckily, they were ones she could replace with the lingerie bought by Jason.

Within a flash, he’s standing before her, stark naked, and his need has her mouth watering. Something about this man, the unashamed way he stands before her in such a vulnerable position, has her entire body whirring. Instead of seeming vulnerable, he seems predatory in the best way. He knows what he has to work with, and he knows how to use it. And the confidence and pride he has in both of these pieces of knowledge make him the best lover she’s ever had.

Rather than finding her mouth as she expects, Dean kisses her neck and working his way down until he’s kneeling between her legs. Whatever has gotten into him, she won’t complain, and lets him turn up the hum her body already has until she’s crying out in pleasure.
