Read all instructions before beginning this project.

Stitch right sides together using a ¼" seam allowance unless otherwise specified.

Materials and cutting lists assume 40" of usable fabric width for yardage.

WOF – width of fabric

HST – half-square triangle

QST – quarter-square triangle

Cutting

From 5" squares cut:

•Sort into 15 stacks of four squares each. Refer to Tip 1 and step 1 of Completing the Blocks to cut each stack.

From cream cut:

•30 (1½" × 6½") A strips

•30 (1½" × 10½") B strips

•60 (1½") C squares

•6 (1½" × WOF) strips, stitch short ends to short ends, then subcut into:

4 (1½" × 50½") D sashing strips

•11 (1½" × WOF) strips, stitch short ends to short ends, then subcut into:

2 (1½" × 50½") E, 2 (1½" × 40½") F, 2 (1½" × 57½") G and 2 (1½" × 47½") H border strips

From blue cut:

•3 (2½" × WOF) strips, stitch short ends to short ends, then subcut into:

2 (2½" × 50½") I sashing strips

•5 (3" × WOF) J/K strips, stitch short ends to short ends, then subcut into:

2 (3" × 52½") J and 2 (3" × 45½") K border strips

•6 (2" × WOF) L/M strips, stitch short ends to short ends, then subcut into:

2 (2" × 59½") L and 2 (2" × 50½") M border strips

•6 (2½" × WOF) binding strips

Completing the Blocks

1. Choose one 5" square stack, cut each square into two 1½" × 3½" P and one each 3½" N square, and 1½" O square pieces referring to Figure 1. Keep like fabrics in each corner as shown in block diagram.
