Chapter Sixteen
Dwarf
Iâd questioned it when Raven had first thrown herself at me. For starters, this is a fucked-up situation to be the setting for our first lovemaking session. Then thereâs the thought thatâs been growing, that she could be someone special for me.
Raven could do serious damage if she left me for one of my brothers. I donât want to be used as a substitute for another man. Her genuine shock that I thought sheâd use me had done much to assuage my doubts, and it all came down to at last, I had a woman who only wanted me.
I hadnât wined or dined her, hadnât sent her flowers. Christ, I hadnât even gotten my pants down as far as my knees. But she was everything that I dreamed she would beâthe perfect fit, the ideal woman. Iâm no choirboy, sheâs far from my first, so I applied all that Iâd learned. Her reactions showed how much sheâd liked my repertoire.
And that accolade? Best ever. What man wouldnât preen after such praise?
Grinning down at her now, seeing the fucked flush on her face, I realise if her aim was to help us both sleep, sheâs achieved that on my part at least. I want nothing more than to pull her into my arms, hold her tight, get some rest, then wake her up and fuck her all over again.
Then I remember why weâre here. Itâs like a bucket of cold water being thrown over me.
While Iâd prefer small talk to come out of my mouth, I force myself to think of practicalities. âWe better get our clothes on before we go to sleep.â If anything happens during the night, I want to be prepared and not caught with my dick hanging out.
Her nod shows she agrees. As I slide off the bed, pulling up my jeans and boxers, and retrieving her clothes from the floor, giving them a good shake as I do so, she whispers to me, âDo you think anyone heard us?â
I think itâs highly unlikely anyone remains in ignorance of what weâd been doing. They may not have heard her muffled screams, but theyâd have heard the bed banging against the wall and the ancient floorboards creaking. Personally, I donât give a damn that theyâll all know Iâve been claiming my woman, but I give her the assurance that she needs.
âI doubt it.â
She gives a small snort of disbelief as she struggles back into her clothes. But if sheâs bothered, she doesnât show it. As sheâs dressing, I lie down, and when sheâs ready, I stretch out my hand. When she takes it, a little tug positions her beside me.
âThis isnât the end,â I tell her. âNot letting you go after you blew my mind like that.â
âMy homeââ
âDonât give a damn about the obstacles,â I cut her off. âWhere thereâs a will, thereâs a way.â
Her eyes meet mine before I turn the flashlight off, plunging us into darkness. Snuggling closer into my side, she whispers softly, âIâve never met anyone like you before.
