Was all the card read. Kiss nodded to the usher to remove the flowers from her presence. She didn't quite understand why Tony was sending her anything. He couldn't stand her, and he damn sure couldn't stand any family associated with Kislynn's mother. He knew Pop Pop was pretty much all she had, and he still failed to shower her with that absent love. She appreciated the flowers, but knowing Tony Machi, something just wasn't right.

CHAPTER 13

Thug

Thug searched his bedroom for any signs of Kiss. He had seen her leave on the camera, but she didn't drive one of his cars. For a few weeks, she had been disappearing for hours at a time, and this week, it was becoming a pattern.

Right now, her phone was going to voicemail, so this had Thug’s antenna’s up, assuming she had something to hide. When she was home, she was always on the phone, and he noticed she would always be writing down numbers. Since the night of the shooting, Thug made it his business to come home nightly, and he didn't leave so early.

Knowing that the coast was clear, Thug went into Kiss’s drawer where she kept important documents and began skimming through a host of papers. When his eyes landed on the ultrasound photos, he retrieved them, and it was like his heart had stopped. When he looked at the date above, it read one week prior, so it really fucked him up.

There he was, depriving Kiss love, when all along she was pregnant. A part of him was upset she hadn't told him, but he couldn't say he didn't blame her. He had been treating her like shit, so he could only imagine how she was probably feeling.

Damn.

He pulled his phone from his pocket and decided to just give Ana a call. If anyone knew anything about Kiss, it was Ana. He just hoped she’d keep shit real. He was sure Kiss had made him out to be the monster he really was, so there was no telling how Ana was feeling.

“Hello?”

“’Sup, Ana?”

“Thug?” Ana was puzzled by his call, but she knew his voice from anywhere.

“Yeah.” Thug sighed and dropped his head.

“I'm glad you called.” Ana’s sigh matched his energy and knew what it was about.

Before Ana could chastise him, he asked, “She's pregnant?”

“Yes, and, Thug, right now that girl needs you. Please. I understand everything about your wife and Noah, but you guys are in love and met on some random type shit. No one is to blame but Noah, and he's not here, so you can't blame her. I'm on my way there now, so if you can make it, I'm sure she’ll love that.”

“Where is she?”

“Inglewood cemetery.”

“The fuck she there for?” Thug frowned, wondering if she was there for something that may have to do with Noah.

“Thug, Pop Pop passed away, and…” Ana began telling Thug the story, but he had gone into a complete daze.

His heart stopped, and a lump formed in his throat.
