Wallace took his boots off and flopped down on the bed and watched as Cat brushed her hair.

"What are you staring at Wallace?"

"You. You're so beautiful, you know that?"

She rose from the chair, lifted the covers and slid between the sheets. "You can show me if you'd like."

He began to remove his shirt, then stood and took off his trousers before joining her in bed. He snuggled close to her warm body. "Have I ever told you how much I love you?"

He feathered kisses on her cheek, along her jawline, tracing it with his tongue. He continued his kisses down her neck, tasting the saltiness of her skin, and inhaling her sweet scent that was uniquely hers.

"I want to feel you all around me," he said.

She lifted her face and kissed him. The kiss continued, hard, demanding, taking.

His breath increased; his thoughts scattered. All he could feel was Catriona as he slid his way deep inside her, never wanting to come out. She was tight and wet for him.

He heard her groan as he kissed her throat where her neck and shoulder joined. He felt the scrape of her fingernails on his back. He cupped her head. "Mine, always mine," he whispered.

"So, you're fine with Stuart staying here?"

"Yes, of course. Why do you ask?"

He pulled her closer. "Because it means we won't have the privacy we have now. No more running around naked." He laughed.

"As though we ever do. But truly I'm fine. There's so much going on right now, he'll take some of the load off you."

"Aye, he will, especially with the house."

"You won't mind him living in the cottage until the house is finished?"

"No. The stables are no place for him to live, especially when the weather turns cold, because you know that beast of a house won't be finished any time soon."

He slid his arm up and down her arm. "Aye, I don't expect it finished before next spring."

"Then we'll manage as best we can.
