Caleb saw the desire burning in her eyes and lost control. Easing himself onto the bed, he crushed her lips as he whispered between their kisses, “Open for me, Violet." And when she complied, he delved his tongue inside her mouth.

He could not help but feel satisfied with her in his arms. As much as he had tried to avoid coming to her that night, he could not resist his lovely wife. There was a long pause before she whispered, “I am truly glad you chose to return and be here with me.”

He tensed but then pulled her even closer in his arms and said, “so did I.”

Caleb brushed her lips with his. She was so sweet, so trusting. He couldn't deny that his heart was growing increasingly fond of attending to his viscountess' needs.

“Caleb?” she murmured against his throat.

“Hmm?”
