The family did many pujas, performed a special empowerment to the goddess So Sor ‘Brang Ma (Skt. Mahāpratisarā), who helps in pregnancy and childbirth, and conducted Vajrayoginī empowerments. But these rituals did not produce the desired result. In Dragshul Trinlei Rinchen’s diary, he writes that in 1933 his two sons also went to the Four-Faced Mahākāla shrine in Khau Drak Dzong, where they prayed for a week and gave many offerings because they had the problem of having no heir.[273]
