KASINO BILLIONAIRE

Ipatted myself down, wondering if I had left my vape in the car. That was the only one I had left. I had others, but they were at home. I wanted to smoke now to calm my nerves.

Retreating to my vehicle, I searched for my pen. I knew I had it on me because Kloey and I were smoking in the car. After checking through and through, I realized that either Kloey had it or I lost it. I wasn’t sure which way she went either. One minute she was in my sight, and the next minute she was gone. Dammit.

I was just going to keep a second vape on deck because she caught me slipping. I hoped she didn’t smoke up all my shit. For Kloey to have taken her first hit with me, lil’ mama sure could smoke. She was a natural hippie.

Agitation was starting to set in, and I couldn’t have that happen. With the rage I had inside me, I might have ignited the whole hospital in flames. That feeling would push me to do something even worse than I had already done. Whipping someone’s ass or shooting a nicca was normal for me. The shit right here. I mean, right here, nicca. It was out of my scope of whipassness. Had me feeling like quicksand.

I had to do something, and quick. Going back to my learned meditation practices, I did my best to calm my mind. Closing my eyes, I thought of a jazz melody that I remembered by heart just for moments like this. I took slow breaths and repeated my mantra.

Surprisingly, the old methods worked. My heart rate decreased. My sweaty palms were dry, and I could think again. Tonight was stressful as hell. The bullshit just wouldn’t stop coming. Just when I thought we had put out one fire, another one popped up. The insane part was they kept coming back to back.

How much more can a muthafucka take?

The whole damn night had been on demon time. I didn’t see a full moon or no shit like that, but I sure as hell felt it. Muthafuckas were acting a damn fool tonight. Way out of the ordinary and even strange for this city during the wee hours.

The way shit was happening tonight had a gangsta nicca like me thinking that maybe I should have gotten my affairs in order. I prided myself on being fearless, but tonight was testing all that. Low key, I wasn’t sure how the night would end and if I was going to make it out of this vortex alive.

I was pretending to be strong in front of everyone, but deep down inside, I was freaking the hell out. So many bad things were going on at the same time. The obvious one was the fact that Kloey’s father had been shot.

Then, there was all the shit that no one knew about except Kloey and me. She had been kidnapped. O’shyt set her up. Shyt and I had to kill some niccas to get her back.
