Safe sex just isn’t safe. Condoms and other contraceptives cannot guarantee protection against STDs or pregnancy. The condom companies know that, educators know that and now you know that.

So why do so many people promote safe sex? Basically, people have a very low expectation of your ability to control your desire. Adults who couldn’t or don’t control their urges don’t think you can either.

The lie of safe sex continues to thrive because people argue, “Since teenagers are going to do it anyway, we need to teach them how to have sex in the safest possible manner.”
