BDSM Manifest

Since the subject of my adoration Iulia was pretty obsessed with the topic of BDSM and subordination, I also felt some interest, but more as a researcher than the ideological practitioner of BDSM. I could easily get my kicks without humiliation and subordination, but I was never opposed to diversity.

Not all my trips to BDSM were equally interesting. Once I got the club “Bespredel” for a vanilla party. In the club’s cafe, players learned to play preference, while at another table a company of youngsters played some kind of lotto. Quickly assessing the situation, I left the club and to my delight, the owner of the club did not even ask any money for this visit.

Another time I got to some kind of educational course on BDSM, during which Ms. Mara and other old-timers of the club were explaining the ideology behind BDSM, citing various pseudo-scientific authors and making historical excursions into the sadistic tendencies of man. A man, a social animal, starts immediately to build a hierarchy, to invent principles where they do not exist and cannot exist at all. BDSM club by and large is like any other club, where people come to relax, and any ideology is a hindrance to that.

A BDSM club, of course, has its own specifics associated with a certain safety technology and the fact that people who come here enjoy their own or others’ sufferings. I, as a Buddhist, knew that the greatest pleasure is calmness.

As usual, the evening began with a performance: everyone told their nicknames and their preferences. I preferred to go by my real name Andrei, adding the following: “Light form of whipping, moral humiliation, brainfucker-type writer”, which brought some animation into the hall. There was a lady of my age who called herself a blonde without brains, and everyone noted that we would make a great couple. In truth, I did not need any couples, that night I was moved by the lowest sensibilities, I just wanted to lash someone, to somehow participate in the process of humiliation.

I do not know exactly why I needed this in the first place. Maybe the sadistic tendencies began to wake up in me, but most likely, I just wanted to understand one important point. Why does the lower partner deify his upper when treated like a thing? This question is not clear to me until now: it seemed a kind of magic, when the lower one, humiliated and slightly despised, experienced a great passion for his master. This passion bordered on a certain madness.

In the meantime, Ms. Mara was articulating some text on BDSM for newcomers: “BDSM is a psychosexual subculture that includes role games involving master and slave for the erotic pleasure of partners”.

The lecture was in the form of a conversation, and so I tried to object and say that BDSM is everywhere in our life.

– BDSM surrounds us daily at work with stubborn bosses, in our relationships, when they stop considering our wishes, in the police, in the court, in the polyclinic.
