Let’s just say that when we reconvened the next day, I was a weird combination of awkward and lustful. Which was basically me all the time these days, but today that weird mojo was laser focused on Alistair. I put on my favorite bright gold velvet dress, and I realized it matched both Alistair and Micah’s eyes. I wondered if I’d subconsciously known when I bought it that Micah was my mate?

Locke had snagged me in the hallway, and Micah had huffed, giving me a quick kiss before leaving us alone.

Locke didn’t waste any time, kissing me like he was starving for it. I kissed him back, the freedom of doing it without worrying that Micah would be mad was kind of liberating. I bit his bottom lip and he moaned into my mouth. “I want to fuck you through this wall right now.”

He picked me up and I squealed like I was a giddy teenage girl. It was gross. But then he pressed me against the wall and I felt the hard line of his dick. So. Fucking. Big. Maybe he did intend to fuck me through the wall and I was here for it.

Instead, he kissed his way down my neck, sucking on my pulse. “I spent the entire night as hard as a rock. What am I going to do with you?”

I gripped his blond hair and dragged his face back so I could suck his lip. “Well, I have a few ideas.”

He chuckled low in his throat. “Unfortunately, we have to go to a meeting and every person on the other side of that wall has supernatural hearing.”

“Yeah, we really fucking do. Hurry up, Romeo!” Pea shouted and my cheeks flushed.

Locke grinned and slid me down his body. It was delicious, and I wanted to climb him so I could do it one more time.

“Did you do the Professor’s homework?” he asked, wrapping his arm around my waist.

I scowled. “You knew too?”

Locke kissed my frown lines. “Not until yesterday, when he told you to read his journals while he had a beautiful woman on his lap and a boner like a steel bar.”

He said that last bit way too loud as he pushed open the door. I felt mussed and every person in this room knew what I’d been up to in that hall.

My cheeks were so red now, I looked like borscht. Micah looked amused, and Ramer and Pea looked a little grossed out.

Alistair was staring at me and there was such lust in his eyes that it threatened to scorch me. Then he caught me staring back and shuttered his expression, giving me a warm smile. But I could spot the strain around his eyes now and there was no going back.
