Am I going crazy? I can’t get enough of her. I know for sure that if we were locked in this pavilion together for thousands of years, it still wouldn’t be enough.

I know nothing about her, except that she was made for me. I don’t even know her name.

Is it the first time I’ve had sex with a woman I know nothing about? Definitely not. But is it the first time I’ve wanted to keep a woman by my side forever? Hell, yeah.

“I want you so badly,” I whisper into her mouth between kisses. “Will you let me in?”

“I’m a virgin,” she exclaims right away, and I stop for a second, looking deeply into her eyes.

“I know that, my beauty,” I say, petting her cheek with my fingers. “I know you’ve been waiting for me.”

I lean in for another kiss, but she pulls away.

“Have you been waiting for me?” she asks naïvely, which only makes me sad because I don’t want to hurt her, but even though she might not like the answer, I don’t want to lie, not to this woman.

“If you’re asking if I’m a virgin, my answer is no,” I say, pulling away slightly because being so close to her lips makes my mind go crazy. It can’t think clearly. “But have I been waiting for you my whole life?” I nod confidently to convince her that I’m sure about it. “Yes, I was.”

“So you always believed in soul mates but didn’t want to wait?” she asks, taking her hand from mine, slightly annoyed.

“I never believed in soul mates; that’s the truth!” I raise my voice, justifying myself. “Moreover, I’m fifteen hundred years old. Would you expect me to be celibate for all this time?”

“I’m almost three hundred years old, and I waited,” she retorts with irritation, frowning at me.

No, no, no, this isn’t how it’s supposed to be. Is she serious? Will she reject me because I was stupid enough not to believe in love?

“I thought you were a debutant,” I say with surprise. I assumed she was born a vampire and attending her first ball.

“I’m not.” She shakes her head. “I wasn’t born a vampire. I was turned.”

“Then how could it be that we never met?”

“I wasn’t really...social.” She looks away, avoiding my gaze and biting her lower lip. She wants to say more but doesn’t dare.

“What is your name?”

She looks at me again, hesitating.

“Your real name, my beauty,” I say before she can come up with some lie. “I want to know everything about you before you become mine.”

She widens her eyes in surprise, and they become even more significant. Those two dark-green eyes peer at me as if trying to find my thoughts.

“So sure about yourself, huh?” She chuckles, smirking at me. “Why don’t you tell me everything about yourself, and then I’ll decide whether I want to become yours or not?”

I smile. That’s a naughty woman I’ve got. She’s going to argue with me until she gets what she wants; she’s perfectly aware that I’ll do anything to make her mine.
