The banging at my door caused the textbook I was studying from to fall onto the floor. Great, now my fat ass had to find a way to bend and pick it up. “Coming,” I shouted as I got up to see who I was about to curse out for beating on my fucking door like the police. Flinging the door open I was shoved so hard I fell against the side table I kept my mail on. “What the fuck is wrong with you, Jordan!” I shouted. He stood in front of me, his light brown skin flushed red, his juicy lips in a straight line. Since I found out I was having a girl, me and Jordan’s relationship had become strained. I basically been going through the second half of my pregnancy alone at a time I expected him to put in more effort, start making plans on providing for our daughter and me. But all he wanted to do was fuck, get a home-cooked meal and run the streets.

“BITCH, WHY THE FUCK THIS NIGGA NAMING CLUBS AND SHIT AFTER YOU?” He was yelling at me like I was his fucking child. His eyes were snapping, and I knew he was angry, but I didn’t know why.

“First off watch how the fuck you're talking to me. And what kind of man pushes his pregnant girlfriend? You better not ever put your fucking hands on me again. And I have no idea what club you’re talking about. In case you didn’t notice, I don’t go out much these days.” I cut my eyes at him before turning to go back to the couch. I was over Jordan, and if he kept this shit up, I wasn’t calling Remee, I was going to call Cahir, and then Jordan’s family could pick up whatever was left of his body when he was done with him. I eyed the lamp next to me and felt the urge to pick it up and smash his head in. He had the right fucking one today.

“Listen, my bad for pushing you. But you need to tighten shit up. I’m tired of you and this nigga playing me. And stop fucking lying saying you don’t know what’s going on. The whole fucking city is talking about the new club, Rumours! He naming clubs and shit after you and you swear ya’ll not still fucking? You need to call him and tell him to name his fucking club something else, and you not going to that baby shower his family giving you. You need to stop spending time with them, they not ya peoples. I will have my mom throw you a little baby shower or whatever. I wonder if this is even my damn baby.” He was standing over me like I was moved by his presence. The fact that he suddenly wanted to deny our child had me looking at him with disgust.

“Jordan, you need to leave until you not coming at me on this disrespectful shit.
