I turned around in my seat to see if I could catch a glimpse of Sebastian still standing in front of the Chinese restaurant where he'd confronted us, but he was already gone. The pink, green, and red glowing paper lanterns were still fluttering in a stiff breeze near where he'd stood.

I turned back around in my seat. "He's already disappeared, probably to join his men to hunt for Mary and Four Moons. We have to hurry."

While he weaved through lanes of traffic, I could tell Alex was trying to do just that, but soon, to my horror, we came to a standstill, surrounded by honking cars on all sides. The traffic in Manhattan's Chinatown was usually thick, even on a Sunday night, though not often come-to-a-complete-stop thick. Not like other parts of the city. But just our luck, I figured, on this particular night, it was.
