60 Degree Increment Roots Of Unity

If you take a complex number and raise it to a power and it equals one, then that number was a root of unity. There are six different complex numbers that when raised to the 6th power will equal one. These six numbers correspond to rotations around the unit circle in the complex plane by 60 degree increments.
