CHAPTER 50

THE REVEREND JERMAINE P. Marriott was lying supine on his expensive leather lounger, with the lights dimmed to almost complete darkness, with soft classical music playing in the background.

His hands were crossed across his chest, covering the mangla, which emitted a soft purplish light between his fingers. Jermaine’s eyes were closed, and he was mumbling incoherent nonsense loudly. Every few minutes his body would shake uncontrollably, as if he were seizing. His white linen shirt was stuck to his body from the excessive perspiration, and one of his pants legs was up near his left knee, and he was missing one sock. Jermaine was in very bad shape and completely alone.

There was an unopened bottle of scotch, condoms, and cigarettes on his desk. The plush white sofa had a sexy black thong hanging on its back. The entire office was in complete disarray and smelled of perfume. His office definitely had the postparty appearance.

Marcus flashed: “Jermaine! Jermaine, Jermaine, are you all right? Hey, brother, connect to me now, damn it! This is not even close to being you; shit, Jermaine, what the hell is going on? Hang in there, brother, me and Monee are on our way!”

Marcus flashed again: “Az3-Pi, pope, Jermaine is in trouble, and I can’t connect with him, or he’s ignoring my flashes. I even tried to call him on my cell phone several times, with no answer. I tapped into his mangla, and all his vital signs are good. Monee and I will be beaming in to check on him shortly.”

The pope flashed: “Marcus, give me your brother’s address, and I’ll meet you there.”

Az3-Pi flashed: “I’ll connect, sporadically, for updates on the pastor, and in the meantime, I will be causing havoc on the dark side carrier ship. If you need me, perform an urgent flash level three.”

Marcus flashed: “Monee, Jermaine is unreachable, and I’m worried that he’s in big trouble, and I am extremely stressed concerning his well-being. We must go now!”

“I’m with you, Marcus, and ready.”
