Prince Charles Edward in 1906. He was Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in Germany, and Duke of Albany in Great Britain. However, in 1917 he was declared a traitor peer for supporting Kaiser Wilhelm II in the First World War, and lost his British title.

Princess Alice of Albany (also Princess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha) in 1911. Alice was Charles Edward’s sister. During the First World War, she gave up her German title and became known as Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone.

Charles Edward, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He was the first German royal to support Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party in 1922. Charles Edward was cousin to King George VI and grandfather of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
