10. Once you’ve finished weaving the template design, check everything is even and follow the instructions in Finishing Your Weaving to tidy up and remove your weave from the loom.

11. Using your needle and thread, stitch up the vertical gaps around the letters, making for a tight fit together with the background yarn (see Embroidery: Ladder Stitch). Measure the width of the top of your weaving and cut your round dowel to the width plus 6cm (2⅜in) before attaching it to the rod (see Finishing Your Weaving: Hanging Your Weaving).

12. Once the piece is hanging, gently comb both layers of fringe into place and starting with the rainbow confetti fringe, give it a gentle trim for a straight edge. Depending on how much of the rainbow fringe you’d like on display, do the same for the fringe woven with the background yarn, trimming it into a straight line either just skimming the rainbow feature, or a few centimetres (an inch or so) up to really show it off.
