Steps to overcoming your fear:
When you experience fear, anxiety, worry, or apprehension, acknowledge your feelings.
Accept that it is OK to experience any of these emotions, especially fear.
Take responsibility—recognize and accept it when your fear causes you to back down and quit. Don’t blame it on the weather, your gear, your partner, or anything else.
Gauge whether your fear is justified or whether it is holding you back unnecessarily.
Don’t give the fear another thought—focus your attention on the task and your goal.
Do the activity you fear as often as possible, for action cures fear.
