Wincing, Abel shifted in his seat. His ass still hurt from the night before. He considered standing up and rubbing his bottom, but the crowd in the stadium began roaring. He quickly held up his camera and pressed down on the shutter when Eric appeared with the rest of the team. It wasn't a major game, but Abel loved how Eric looked as equally determined as he did with any other match.
Sitting in his secluded hideout, Abel leaned forward and rested his elbows. The crisp air nipping at his face and fingers barely registered as the team started to arrange themselves on the field. Abel couldn't help booing when the opposition appeared.
Hearing a twig snap behind him, he looked around to find Pacer walking up, a blanket tucked under his arm.
"I figured you'd be here," Pacer said. "You never miss a game, huh?" Without waiting for a response, he unfolded the blanket and placed it on the ground next to Abel's chair. Sitting down, he leaned back on his hands and looked out at the field. "If Coach knew this spot was here, he'd have it blocked over with bricks."
"Then don't tell him," Abel replied shortly.
Pacer looked up him with a grin. "You're not still mad, are you?"
"No," Abel replied, "but I am wondering why you're here." His eyes were still trained on the field. "I thought we concluded our business."
Hearing a snort, he finally looked down to find Pacer staring out at the game. "About that," Pacer said. "I want to keep going."
Abel twitched. "No."
"Just hear me out," Pacer said. "I think it's pretty obvious that you and I share a common interest, an interest that probably won't be fulfilled by anyone else on this campus."
"I don't care anymore," Abel replied, earning a raised eyebrow from Pacer. "If I ever want Eric to accept me, I can't have any weird habits."
Pacer laughed loudly. "Weird habits … like stalking?"
"Look," Abel said in a biting tone, "I don't expect you to understand." Looking down, he caught Pacer's eye and frowned. "My whole life is dedicated to him; everything I do will be for him. I can't be selfish and do things with you anymore." Trembling, he bent over, his head in his lap. "What's worse, I've created this secret between him and his best friend."
"Don't worry about that, Abel," Pacer replied. "Eric … he'd rather not know what I'm doing with you."
Turning his head, Abel gazed back at Pacer, their eyes meeting. "Find someone else," he said quietly.
Pacer's jaw tightened. "No." Without warning, he got to his knees and grabbed Abel's chair, pulling it and Abel to the ground. Dragging Abel onto the blanket, Pacer straddled him, a closed fist on each side of Abel's head. He twirled a lock of Abel's brown hair around his finger.
"Pacer," Abel breathed, turning his head to the game. "Get off; someone will see!"
Ignoring him, Pacer wrapped his hand around Abel's slim arm and shoved him onto his stomach. Leaning over him, Pacer grabbed Abel's waist and thrust his groin against him, eliciting an "Oomph!".
