So I recommend sitting forward on your chair. Ideally your feet should be flat on the ground to centre yourself and you should be slightly leaning forward.

In this position, your neck and throat areas are relaxed and your lungs can move freely to give you enough air to speak well.

You’ll look and feel more ‘dynamic’ if you sit in this position.

Your hands should be kept in view whenever possible. Studies have shown that you are more likely to get a job in an interview if you place your hands on the table in front of you, rather than hiding them under the table.

On a body language level, hiding our hands can be seen as hiding something - our nerves or possibly our true intentions.

So sit with your feet firmly on the ground, your back leaning slightly forward, your hands on the table in front of you, breathe into your lower stomach and away you go!
