“I’m not going to guess because you’re going to tell me, but you sound a little too happy, being that I’m not next to you or in you.”

Six’s voice always did something to me. Even when she was arguing with me or running her slick ass mouth and debating me on something, it still sent me places that I wasn’t used to.

“Well, come home, and we can remedy that. And for the record, jealousy sounds really sexy one you,” she teased, pulling a smile from me.

“I’m not jealous, Six, just protective over what belongs to me, that includes your happiness and your smiles. A jealous man fears that he has something to lose. He struggles with the possibility that someone else can take from him or have what he has. That’s not a possibility where I’m concerned, especially not with you. No other man can have you unless I hand you over. Even if you think it’s possible, I promise you that it’s not.”

“It has to be exhausting being you.”

I laughed at the statement, not really understating what was driving it.

“How so?”

“To walk through life with balls that big and confidence that great has to be exhausting. It amazes me how you make it through the day.”

The smile in her voice caused me to grin.

“I’ve had both all my life, so I’ve grown accustomed to handling them both. But you know as well as I do, the weight between my legs doesn’t have shit to do with my balls.”

“Mero!” she yelled through a slight laugh. “We are so off track that it’s not even funny, and I’m so horny right now that I’m punching you dead in your chest as soon as I see you for torturing me. Can we please get back on track?”

I chuckled at the desperation in her voice as I adjusted the swell in my jeans before getting out of my car. Whether she knew it or not, she had the same effect on me, and my sexual appetite was about ten times worse than hers. I had yet to break her in, so I was taking my time and being patient, but if I was between Six’s legs a hundred times a day it wouldn’t be enough.

“Yes, now that you got me out here in these streets with my dick about to bust through my jeans—”

“Where are you?”

She cut me off so quick that I wanted to laugh at her. Six was calling me jealous, but her ass was about to jump through the damn phone over me.

“Picking up something for my mother. I need to run by and check on her. When I’m done, I’ll be home. Get out of your head and don’t be jealous.”

“I’m not being jealous, I’m being protective of what’s mine.” She hit me with my own words. Only Six.

“Well, don’t sweat that shit. You don’t need to be protective. I don’t have anyone’s attention right now.” I looked around the small shop as I approached the counter.
