“Hey.”

Tory glanced up from his iPad, taking in Marshall’s crooked smile and tired eyes as his brother stepped into their bedroom. Marshall’s bedroom, which Tory had moved into not too long ago. “Hey.” He put aside the tablet. “You look tired.”

Marshall tore off his tie, tossing it onto the nearby armchair with a snort. “Sorry I’m late. Had a few last-minute fires that needed to be put out.” He walked over to Tory and bent, kissing him.

“It’s okay,” Tory murmured against his lips, putting a hand to Marshall’s chest, holding him there for a moment.

“How was work?” Marshall straightened when Tory finally released him.

It’d been almost a month since he’d fucked Marshall in the kitchen. In that time, Tory had gotten a job as an assistant at a real estate agency, something he found himself falling in love with pretty quickly. Nowadays his life revolved around work, Marshall, and the little bit of time he squeezed in to hang with Allen and Kendra, and Simone, who he finally took up on her offer to have drinks.

Their sister still had no clue Tory lived with Marshall. They’d agreed to keep that between them for as long as possible.

“Work was good.” He couldn’t help the smile as Marshall sank onto the mattress. He’d taken the job because it was available and paid well. He hadn’t expected to like it. His duties were mainly administrative tasks, but being up close and personal with the process had lit a fire under him.

Marshall touched his knee. “Still sure about your next move?”

Tory nodded. “Yep.” Working in that office, he’d quickly come to realize that he wanted to get his real estate license.

“Okay.” Marshall’s lips quirked. “Whatever you need to do to make it happen, we’ll do.”

“Thank you.” Marshall’s support was everything and Tory told him so by climbing into his lap, lacing his arms around the other man’s neck, and kissing him. Marshall’s hands clamped down on his waist as they rubbed on each other until they were both breathless and hard as steel.

Marshall’s stomach rumbled between them and Tory pulled back with a grin. “I left your pizza in the fridge.”

They took turns bringing dinner home most nights. Today was supposed to be Marshall’s night but he’d texted Tory with a heads-up that he didn’t know what time he’d be home, so Tory had stopped and gotten pizza.

“Thanks.” Marshall kissed his neck then released Tory so he could get off. Once Tory did, Marshall stood. “It’s been so fucking hectic at work, I didn’t get a chance to eat anything other than a donut and coffee all day.” He left Tory staring after him thoughtfully as he exited the bedroom in search of food.

Marshall loved the company. His brother loved the work, despite how crazy it got from time to time. Tory understood. Their family business was for Marshall because his brother thrived on that kind of thing, but it wasn’t for Tory. He’d never wanted it and he’d made that known to his father often, and loudly.
